Entomology
This series presents insect-like sculptures cast in bronze and housed in shadow boxes. Inspired by coleoptera and lepidoptera, the forms combine cast bodies with fitted steel wings, bringing together weight and delicacy.
Patinas are intentionally left unsealed, allowing the surfaces to remain sensitive to touch and time. The works reflect a quiet tension between preservation and handling, how contact alters what it seeks to hold.
Each piece is given a fictitious name, drawing on the language of classification while referencing the textures found in the metal.
